This is a reproduction Confederate saber, which is often sold on on-line auction sites as being original.  It is not!  

Look at the grip and you will notice it the poor quality.  Don't be confused into thinking the South would accept this type of quality.  The etching is all wrong as well.

The stamp make name on the blade by the hilt is wrong.  These letters were individually stamped, and on an original a stamp dye was used showing a uniform marking.
